The number of courses that are available online are staggering. From credit courses to non-credit courses to paid courses to free courses, no matter what you want to learn about, you are sure to find some type of course available on it. Online learning has exploded over the last decade and this is to our good, as it allows us to learn from the comfort of our home on our own timeline. What are some of the online learning opportunities out there?

For many people, they just want to learn how to use a particular software program or operating system. A quick Google search will give you a plethora of options that you can choose from, including Adobe, Office, how to set up a blog, how to email, how to create a website, and even basic internet research. If you want to upgrade or refresh your computer skills, this is a great way to do so, and many of these computer “classes” are at no cost to you.

Whether you are looking for your first job or want to change careers, you are sure to want to have a resume. There are classes on creating your resume, interviewing, job success, cover letters, and more. If you want to get a new job and don’t know where to start, don’t just stumble through it. Take advantage of one of the many career classes that can guide you through the process.

Business Start-up

Want to open your own business? There are online courses that go through the steps to do this as well. From creating a business plan to getting financing to tax implications to hiring to accounting and more are all offered online. Some sites even offer this type of classes for free, which means that there are no excuses for not trying them out.

Learn a New Language?

If you want to learn a new language, your place to do that is the Internet. From Hindi to Hungarian to German to French to Spanish and more, you will be able to find just about any language that you are interested in. While you could pay money to learn in an instructor led class or buy language learning CDs or videos, why would you when you can find it for free online?
